Anyone going? Probably going to be down after 2:00 sunday. Not entering a car this year sadly, the trans am has to go under the knife still. I will be hauling my big ass camera and wearing a firebird shirt, come say Hi.

If that’s the first 3 pics on Google, that looks awesome.

For a free event, you cannot beat it. Its bigger than the foreign show I went to at carlysle, and I paid to get into that one. I live right by the city, so its like a 30 min drive tops.

I’m making the 7 hour drive to Pittsburgh tonight! I’ll be there all day tomorrow, but driving back early Sunday, so sadly I think I’ll miss you.
I wish I could drive there in my C6 (and enter it in the show), but a canary yellow Vette is a bit of a cop magnet and I don’t feel like dealing with screeching race brakes for 7 hours.

The track makes for the best pictures. Scenic as hell.

Yea, most vintage races around the world have vintage cars on modern tracks. The PVGP puts vintage cars on a vintage track. I kind of think of it as the racing equivalent to a Civil War re-enactment. They do everything old-school, including putting a hay bale in front of telephone poles and declaring it safe.
If only they allowed thin open-faced helmets and leather string-back gloves.

I was there all day yesterday (Saturday), I go every year. It’s a great time, both the huge car show and the vintage racing.
